Hello! My name is Aparna Nagasubramanian. I am 31 years old, I came to the United States about 7 years ago and have been living in Anaheim, California ever since. I was born and raised in India. I have a degree in engineering and worked as a software engineer for 3 years. I got married and moved to US to live with my husband. It was one of the hardest decisions of my life to leave my family, relatives, friends, my job and start a new life in the US. I have always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I remember telling my teachers in school that one day I will be in their shoes. But it became a long lost dream as I got a scholarship into engineering college. I worked for 3 years as a software Quality Assurance Engineer testing software products and filing bug reports. A couple of years ago, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming an educator and put together two things I love the most - Teaching and Mathematics. I have completed my Single Subject Credential and Master of Education through National University in 2015. I am excited to begin this journey as a Math educator.
